Learn Reiki in a way that feels grounded, connected and empowering

Learn Reiki to Feel Calmer, More Connected & More Confident
Many people find Reiki during periods of change. Sometimes it begins with stress, burnout or emotional overwhelm. Sometimes it arrives through quiet curiosity, a feeling that there must be a calmer, more connected way to move through life. For others, Reiki becomes part of a deeper journey of self-awareness, healing and spiritual growth.
Wherever you are starting from, Reiki offers space to pause, reconnect with yourself and develop a greater sense of balance, trust and clarity.
At The Cotswold Healing Therapies Reiki Academy, I teach traditional Usui Reiki in a way that feels grounded, supportive and authentic. My aim is not simply to teach techniques or hand positions, but to help students develop a genuine understanding of Reiki and confidence in working with energy safely, ethically and intuitively. Whether you feel drawn to Reiki for personal healing, emotional wellbeing, spiritual development or future practitioner training, you will be welcomed exactly as you are.
My Approach to Reiki Teaching
My teaching combines traditional Usui Reiki with a strong understanding of emotional wellbeing, nervous system regulation and holding safe therapeutic space. As a Reiki Master, counsellor, hypnotherapist and EFT practitioner, I understand that healing is deeply personal. Everyone experiences Reiki differently and there is no “right way” to feel, sense or connect with the energy.
I believe Reiki should feel accessible rather than intimidating. You do not need special abilities or previous experience to learn Reiki. Often the most important thing is simply a willingness to slow down, remain open and allow yourself the opportunity to reconnect with who you are beneath the noise and pressure of everyday life. Within the academy, students are encouraged to develop confidence gradually, trust their own experiences and explore Reiki in a way that feels grounded, compassionate and authentic to them.

Reiki has supported me not only professionally, but personally. I originally trained in Reiki in 2013 after meeting my first Reiki Master at an event. I didn't know what Reiki was, I'd never had a Reiki treatment, but something within me knew that I had to learn more and I'm so glad I listened to that call. Over the years, my own journey through counselling, hypnotherapy and Reiki has shown me how powerful it can be when people feel truly supported, emotionally safe and able to reconnect with themselves without judgement. Teaching Reiki feels like a natural extension of the work I already do. I am passionate about helping students feel confident in themselves, develop strong ethical foundations and deepen their understanding of Reiki beyond simply learning a routine or sequence of techniques.
My hope is to help raise the standard of Reiki practice by supporting practitioners who are compassionate, grounded, self-aware and able to hold space for others with confidence and integrity.
Reiki Training Pathway
Reiki Level 1 – Shoden
Foundations & Self-Healing
Reiki Level 1 is often the beginning of a very meaningful personal journey.
This level focuses on self-healing, energy awareness and learning the foundations of Reiki in a calm and supportive environment.
Many students notice that, over time, they begin to feel calmer, more emotionally balanced and more connected to themselves.
You’ll learn:
- The history and principles of Reiki
- Reiki attunements and what to expect
- Energy awareness and grounding
- Self-treatment techniques
- Hand positions for treating others
- How Reiki can support relaxation and emotional wellbeing
- The importance of intention, ethics and self-care
No previous experience is needed.
Some students continue on to practitioner training, while others remain at Level 1 and simply enjoy Reiki as part of their own personal wellbeing and spiritual practice.
Reiki Level 2 – Okuden
Practitioner Development
Reiki Level 2 deepens your Reiki connection and introduces the traditional Reiki symbols, mantras and distance healing techniques.
This level is suitable for students who feel called to work professionally with clients, as well as those who wish to deepen their personal and spiritual development.
Alongside the practical aspects of practitioner training, there is also a strong focus on confidence, boundaries, ethics and holding safe space for others.
You’ll learn:
- Traditional Reiki symbols and their uses
- Distance Reiki techniques
- Structuring professional Reiki sessions
- Developing confidence as a practitioner
- Client care and professional boundaries
- Deepening intuition and energetic awareness
Following Reiki Level 2, students are able to obtain practitioner insurance and begin offering Reiki professionally if they choose.
Level 3 – Shinpinden
Reiki Master & Teacher Training
Reiki Master training is a deeply personal and transformational experience.
Rather than simply learning additional techniques, this level invites students to deepen their spiritual connection, energetic awareness and understanding of themselves.
Master level training focuses not only on Reiki knowledge, but also on embodiment, leadership, integrity and developing confidence in holding space for others.
For those who feel called to teach Reiki, training also includes guidance on teaching safely, ethically and responsibly while developing your own authentic style as a practitioner and teacher.

More Than a Course — A Community
One of the most valuable parts of Reiki training is the sense of connection and support that can grow alongside it. Over time, I hope the academy becomes a place where people feel supported not only in learning Reiki, but also in continuing their personal and spiritual growth long after their training has finished.
Who Is Reiki Training Suitable For?
Reiki training may be suitable for you if you feel drawn towards healing, spirituality or personal growth or maybe want to support your emotional wellbeing and nervous system. Students are often called to Reiki when they are navigating stress, burnout or life changes and want to feel more in control of life. Maybe you already work within a caring or therapeutic profession or wish to help support others through Reiki. If you feel curious about energy healing in a grounded and practical way and want to deepen your self-awareness and intuition then Reiki may be for you.
Reiki is open to everyone. You do not need any previous experience, spiritual background or special abilities to begin.
Training Location
Courses will be based within the beautiful Cotswolds, with a focus on creating calm, welcoming environments that support learning, reflection and connection.
Further details about venues, course dates and upcoming training opportunities will be announced soon.
Begin Your Reiki Journey
Often the Reiki journey begins with a simple curiosity. A feeling that something needs to change. A desire to feel calmer, lighter or more connected to yourself. A sense that you are ready to grow, heal or step into a new chapter of life.
Whatever has brought you here, Reiki offers an opportunity to slow down, reconnect and explore that path with curiosity and compassion.
I would be honoured to support you on that journey.
