What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is the process of relaxing you into a trance like state, much like when we daydream, which enables me to make suggestions to your subconscious mind. You will be fully in control at all times and can chose to stop the session at any time. At the end of each session, I am sure to re-orientate you to full awareness. There is no chance of me making you cluck like a chicken or forget how to count to 10, hypnotherapy is not stage hypnosis. I cannot make you do anything that you don't want to do.

Hypnotherapy - what can I expect?
Each hypnotherapy treatment plan starts with a consultation appointment. At this appointment I will find out all about your reason for seeking hypnotherapy, your likes, your dislikes and any previous therapy you may have had. It is from this consultation that I will be able to write the personalised hypnotherapy scripts that I will use in your following sessions. During the first session, I offer a shorter hypnotherapy session, so that you can experience the relaxation and not feel apprehensive before your next session. We will discuss your treatment plan and agree on a number of sessions, which of course we will be able to amend if necessary, we may discuss combining hypnotherapy with Reiki energy therapy, HypnoticReiki may be a better treatment plan for you. During your hypnotherapy session, you will be guided to relax at a special place, this may be real, somewhere you know or imagined. You can travel the world from the comfort of your chair. Where will you go?
Smoking cessation works slightly differently to all other hypnotherapy. We will still meet for the initial consultation where we will discuss your reasons for smoking, your reasons for wanting to quit and some of the health benefits of stopping, you will also receive some relaxation during a short hypnotherapy session to reward you for making the first step to becoming a non-smoker. The following session will be a slightly longer session, we will meet for 90 minutes, during which time you will receive hypnotherapy that has been written especially for you that uses psychology and suggestion to help you to quit smoking for good. There are only 2 sessions required for smoking cessation hypnotherapy.
